I'm Aurelie! ✨ A lettering artist from the Gold Coast, Australia. I started drawing letters and designing logos before I even knew what it was called. I was properly introduced to the art of typography while studying at Griffith University in 2010. Without expecting much, I began sharing my work online, particularly my chalk typography, not thinking that people would enjoy or be inspired by it.
Then, in 2023, everything changed. During my Lettering Style Challenge, I designed 31 book covers in 31 days, challenging myself to rely on lettering rather than illustrations. This experiment opened doors I never expected: publishers and authors started reaching out, and before I knew it, I was designing commissioned book covers.
Seeing so many artists ask about my process made me realise I had to turn this experience into a course.
