FAQsÂ
In the prompt list, are these the words we draw or the styles?
The prompts are lettering styles. For example, if the prompt is Art Deco, you’d draw your chosen word using Art Deco-style letterforms. You don’t have to write the name of the style itself (unless you want to). The challenge is about exploring the style, so you can pick any word you like (a name, a quote, a lyric, etc). The guide includes a short definition of each style, plus examples and tips to help you start.
How much time do I need to spend on the challenge each day?
The time you spend on the challenge depends on your goals (whether it’s 10 minutes or 10 hours, it’s up to you!).
Your results will be aligned with the amount of time and work you put in. Ideally, you will need 1 to 2 hours each day to work through the content and complete the challenge. But don’t worry if life gets in the way, you will have lifetime access to this course.
I usually spend 4 to 8 hours a day because it’s my full-time job, but even just a few minutes of daily practice can make a big difference. What matters is consistency. Join the challenge and see how far a little dedication can take you!
Are there any rules?
Not at all. The challenge is about practice and exploration. You can use any word you want, work in any medium, and make it as simple or as detailed as you like. The point is to push yourself creatively while having fun.
I’m a beginner, can I still participate?
Absolutely! This challenge is a great way to learn. Keep it simple and don’t worry about perfection. You can copy existing alphabets or reference other artists’ work as long as you give credit. Even trying just a few letters or a very simple version of the style will help you learn.
I don’t know if I’m able to do this… what do you suggest?
You don’t need to complete all 31 prompts to take part. Do what you can, even one or two is fantastic. The challenge is about progress, not perfection. But if you want support, step-by-step guidance, and techniques to actually develop your style instead of guessing your way through, that’s exactly what my course Lettering Style Secrets is for. It’s designed to help you complete the challenge with confidence and develop a signature style people will pay for..
